» <sfx:BLOOP>

That sound was me unsubscribing from all my tag-based del.icio.us feeds. (I’m still keeping the person-based ones.)

Noted as yet another medium being overcome and/or failing to deal with the spam problem; I don’t need to hunt through dozens of pr0n and health care links in the ‘lifehack’ category, thanks much.

» An open letter to del.icio.us

Dear del.icio.us:

I see that you’re still feeling a bit under the weather. I hope you feel better soon.

Here are some things I would have fed you over the past few days, had you been able to eat them:

Again, hope you’re feeling better soon. I miss you.

Yr internet pal,
genehack.

» del.icio.us-er

The upgrades to del.icio.us that were made over the weekend are teh r0xx0r, especially the auto-complete in the tag field when you’re adding new stuff. No more remembering if you used ‘readme’ or ‘read_me’! Of course, now I need to spend some time going through my existing stuff and rationalizing the tags…

» extisp.icio.us

Yet another cool use of the del.icio.us API: an app that takes your user name and returns a tag map, with tag quantity mapping to tag size. From my map, it’s pretty easy to tell what my main uses of del.icio.us have been to date. What’s your map look like?

» dir.licgio.us

RasterWeb posted this neat idea the other day — a little bit of Perl that sucks down your del.icio.us feed and sort of turns it inside-out, giving you a list of posts indexed by tag. He called it “dir.licio.us”.

I was up early this morning, and in a hacky kind of mood, so I took his little bit of Perl and whomped on it a bit, and then a bit more, and before long, it turned into a CGI that does basically the same thing. I call it “dir.licgio.us“.
